Animal protection organizations strongly condemn it! Horse dies on 'Lord of the Rings' set

Amazon, the creator of The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power, has released a statement saying a horse died on the show's UK set. The incident happened on the morning of March 21, during the practice before the filming rehearsal. At that time, the horse trainer hadn't put on the costume, and the filming of the day had not officially started. Veterinarians and a representative from the Humane Society of the United States were present at the scene, and an independent autopsy confirmed the horse died of heart failure.
Sources say about 30 horses were involved in the shoot that day, courtesy of The Devil's Horsemen. The group of the horses that died suddenly was waiting to rehearse for a fight scene. The scene was emptied for 30-45 minutes after the incident, the remains of the horse were removed, and work resumed.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) issued a statement in response to this matter, condemning the main creators and all producers of "The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power", saying that if they cannot avoid exploiting animals, they should give up shooting with real horses and switch to computer CG, etc.
