David Fincher Discusses "World War Z 2": Resemblance to "The Last Survivor"

In an exclusive interview with David Fincher, he delves into the highly anticipated sequel "World War Z 2" and its similarities to the HBO hit series "The Last Survivor." He also suggests that the latter may excel in this aspect.
"Well, it's somewhat akin to 'The Last Survivor.' I'm glad we didn't shoot this sequel because 'The Last Survivor' provides more room to explore similar themes. In our movie, we originally intended to employ the concept of tiny parasites...and they also used the same concept, delivering a captivating opening through a Dick Cavett and David Frost-style talk show."
Currently, Paramount has announced the suspension of "World War Z 2." The film was originally set to commence production in Atlanta this spring or early summer, but due to budget issues, the production has faced setbacks. Insiders claim that cost concerns have become quite pressing, despite Fincher and his team's assurances that the sequel's budget would not exceed the cost of the first film ($190 million, excluding reshoot expenses).
