Director Refutes "Godzilla 1.0" Budget of $15 Million: I Wish We Had That Much

The monster film "Godzilla 1.0," directed by Takashi Yamazaki, has currently grossed over $45.8 million worldwide, becoming the highest-rated film on IMDb this year with both critical acclaim and box office success.
Earlier, Western media reported a budget of $15 million for the movie, but Takashi Yamazaki rebutted, stating the actual budget was lower, jokingly saying, "I wish we had that much."
He attributes the film's excellence to his talented team and thoughtful approach to the filming process.
Notably, the movie has successfully entered the top 20 for the 2024 Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
"Godzilla 1.0" is a commemorative work celebrating the 70th anniversary of Godzilla's creation and is the 30th Godzilla masterpiece from Toho Studios. Set in post-World War II Japan, Godzilla's appearance seems to deliver another blow to a country already reduced to nothing (Zero), pushing it into negative territory (Negative 1.0).
