According to Japanese media, "Wandering Planet 2" is set to hit theaters in Japan on March 22, with the Japanese title being "流転の地球 -太陽系脱出計画-" (Wandering Planet: Solar System Escape Plan). The Japanese version of the poster has already been unveiled.
"Wandering Planet 2," adapted from Liu Cixin's sci-fi novel, premiered in mainland China in January 2023. Set in the not-so-distant future, the sun is rapidly aging and expanding, posing a threat to the entire solar system in a few hundred years. In response to this unprecedented crisis, nations set aside their differences, forming a united government to explore avenues for human survival. After much deliberation and exploration, the "Moving Mountains Plan," which involves pushing the Earth out of the solar system, achieves overwhelming success.
