Shohei Kawase Faces Allegations of Past Sexual Harassment – Responds with Denial

On September 22nd, according to Taiwanese media reports, Japanese actor Shohei Kawase has recently been accused of past sexual harassment. Jun Hinamoto, a member of the Victims of Johnny's Entertainment Sexual Assault Association, disclosed that they had received messages from a victim accusing Mr. Kawase of forceful kissing.
Later on the 22nd, in response to the sexual harassment allegations, Shohei Kawase's lawyer stated, "These allegations are baseless and damaging to both our company and Mr. Kawase's reputation."
Shohei Kawase, formerly the vice president of a Johnny's Entertainment subsidiary, left Johnny's due to differences in philosophy and founded the talent agency TOBE, which now represents 12 artists.
