The Netflix series "The Crown" has aired six seasons, chronicling the story of the British royal family. Despite its popularity, the show hasn't always left a positive impression. Interestingly, not only ordinary viewers but also some members of the British royal family have tuned in.
In a recent interview with Times Radio, lead actor Jonathan Pryce shared that he apologized to Princess Anne for his portrayal of her father in the series. "When I was knighted and went to Windsor Castle, it was Princess Anne who knighted me. I was portraying her father at the time, and there were rumors that she had seen some of the show," Jonathan Pryce revealed. "She gently placed a sword on my shoulder, and as I stood up, I thought she might be contemplating something. So I said, 'Um... I don't know what to say to you... Sorry?' She replied, 'Why? It's all in the past.'"
Jonathan Pryce added, "Her point was, whether it's apologizing for being here tonight or for, you know, the way you portrayed my father, it's done. For me, it was quite an interesting moment."
The final season of "The Crown" will be split into two parts, covering significant events around 1997, including the death of Princess Diana, Tony Blair's term as Prime Minister, and the early romance of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
