Netflix Shrinks Its Animation Business: Two Films Put on Hold

Netflix's animation division achieved remarkable success in 2022, with "Creation of the Gods" winning the Best Animated Feature award. However, as reported by Variety, Netflix is currently attempting to downsize its animation department, resulting in the postponement of two animated films.
These two delayed films include the yet-to-be-announced "Escape from Beverly Hills" and the film based on Zimbabwean Shona culture, "Tunga." The latter is set to undergo a reworking to enhance its quality. Meanwhile, in the upcoming weeks, Netflix will also be making staff reductions within its animation production team.
