Netflix's "One Piece" live-action series was hit after the first test screening, and many fans were not satisfied with the content of the series released this time.
According to Hollywood news outlet Divinity Seeker reports that audiences have not responded well to the unveiling of the highly-anticipated series, mainly due to poor CG quality and a confusing plot.
If you're not a fan of the original One Piece series, you obviously won't understand the story. However, those familiar with the original book also found themselves confused by the adaptation.
In the first episode of the series, the first half is all flashbacks of Luffy, and then jumps to modern times. Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji are hastily introduced in the last 15 minutes. Some of the actors' looks looked out of place, and the show was inconsistent in jumping between being funny and goofy and being serious.
The tentative title of the first episode of Netflix's "One Piece" live-action drama is "ROMANCE DAWN". Eiichiro Oda will participate as an executive producer, and Tomorrow Studio, led by Marty Adelstein, the producer of the American drama "Prison Break", will also join. "One Piece" fan Matt Owens served as the screenwriter.
Cast:
Luffy: Iñaki Godoy
