Netflix's "Maiden Battling the Evil Dragon" Unveils New Stills: Princess in the Dark Cave

Recently, Netflix's fantasy epic "Maiden Battling the Evil Dragon," starring Millie Bobby Brown, has released new stills, showcasing the princess's arduous struggle in a dark cave.

Scheduled to premiere on March 8th, the film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. The story revolves around Princess Elodie, who initially believes she is to marry Prince Henry, only to discover it's a trap: the royal family plans to sacrifice her to the evil dragon. Thrown into a dark cave alongside a fire-breathing dragon, the princess faces a life-or-death challenge, relying solely on her wit and determination, with no rescue in sight.

Fresnadillo told Entertainment Weekly, "The princess must face extremely challenging situations on her own in this film. Unlike traditional stories, she can't rely on a prince or father's assistance, presenting a more modern narrative of a female surviving independently."

The director emphasizes that "Maiden Battling the Evil Dragon" fully showcases Brown's action skills, requiring her to climb cliffs, wield a sword, and confront a very hungry dragon. It not only displays the princess's strong will and intelligence but also portrays Brown as a truly strong and independent woman.

Fresnadillo hopes the film becomes a "modern dark fairy tale," subverting the conventions of traditional fairy tales.
