Nolan Astonished: "Oppenheimer" IMAX Box Office Results Took Me by Surprise

Director Christopher Nolan recently revealed in an interview with "Collider" that he found the IMAX box office results of "Oppenheimer" to be quite surprising. He also expressed his delight in the fact that contemporary young people have the intention to watch movies:
“I believe one of the reasons we can evoke a strong public response is the cinema presentation, especially in IMAX. Through film shooting and copying, bringing it to the world, putting the film on those big screens. We broke the historical record of film projection in China.”
Since its release in July, "Oppenheimer" has successively broken seemingly impossible laws, creating many commercial miracles with a global box office income of $9.5 billion. Its IMAX box office performance is particularly impressive, surpassing the $180 million mark worldwide, defeating many A-level productions, including "Avengers: Endgame."
