Today, the film "Fading Memories," set to release on August 22nd, Chinese Valentine's Day, has revealed its ultimate trailer while also commencing pre-sales. In the latest trailer, as the words "Xu Nian Nian, are you going to forget me?" spoken by Yang Si Huo (portrayed by Song Weilong) echo, viewers are privileged to once again traverse the youthful years shared by Xu Nian Nian (played by Liu Haocun) and Song Weilong. From the initial misunderstandings upon meeting to the gradual evolution into the sole irreplaceable presence in each other's youth, the emotional journey of these two characters unfolds, saturated with an ambiance of pure romantic love.

However, youth isn't solely comprised of the euphoria of secret crushes and racing heartbeats. It's also accompanied by the bittersweet taste of missed opportunities and tears. Confronting the harsh reality of "promises shouldn't be taken lightly," the anxious cries of Yang Si Huo and the silent tears of Xu Nian Nian reflect a heart-wrenching scene. When the lost love encounters its counterpart again, the simple greeting "You've grown your hair long" carries a multitude of complex emotions. Can a text message after years of silence reconnect lost time? Anticipation overpowers nostalgia, and the anticipation for the film's release on Chinese Valentine's Day is mounting.

The film "Fading Memories" is adapted from the eponymous short story in Zhang Haochen's bestselling work "It's Only You in My World." This adaptation depicts the spirited young woman Nian Nian and the confident youth Si Huo's youthful love story. Amid the intertwining of unrequited love, they co-create an unforgettable chapter of their lives. The most beautiful aspect of youth is perhaps having the person you like also harbor the same feelings for you. As director Liu Yulin articulates, "In our youth, we possess limited resources, so when we like someone, we give our all without reservation." Author Zhang Haochen also expresses the hope that audiences rediscover the essence of love and its purest heartbeat through this film.

The time spent together by these two characters is imbued with beauty, while the regret of missing out is equally profound. In the trailer, one moment they're soaring together into space, and the next moment, only Nian Nian remains sitting alone in the same spot, sparking curiosity about the untold stories behind this shift. For those who haven't bid proper farewells, even if opportunities are lost, they're destined to be reunited. The trailer's conclusion, "Do you want to watch the rocket launch together?" with the sending of this message, symbolizes the impending reunion of Xu Nian Nian and Yang Si Huo.

"You've grown your hair long," this simple greeting gives the audience ample room for imagination, while Si Huo's sincere confession stokes anticipation for the resolution of their story. As Zhang Haochen previously stated, "Once we decide to love, we're willing to see it through. Only in our youth are we audacious enough to make such a commitment." The reencounter of Xu Nian Nian and Yang Si Huo stands as a testament to this promise, granting the audience the courage to reunite with the person they can't forget. Rather than yearning, seeing each other again on this year's Chinese Valentine's Day lets us bravely meet that special someone in our hearts.

The film "Fading Memories" is directed by Liu Yulin, produced by Zhang Haochen, starring Liu Haocun, Song Weilong, Bu Guanjin, and Guo Cheng, with Gao Yalin, Ni Hongjie, and Zhang Lei in special roles, and starring Guo Keyu. Jointly produced by Shanghai Tingdong Film Industry, Shanghai Taopiaopiao Film and TV Culture, China Film Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Hengdian Film Industry, Beijing Blue Sky Black Horse Culture Media, Tianjin Maoyan Weying Culture Media, and Linghe Culture Media (Shanghai), the film is eagerly anticipated for a rendezvous on Chinese Valentine's Day.
