Recently, a scene in the TV drama 'My Human Fireworks' where the male and female leads playfully use a fire extinguisher has sparked discussions among netizens and even received a warning from the fire department.
Through a video explanation, the Chaozhou Fire Department pointed out the inaccuracies in the scene, such as 'spraying up and down,' 'in a confined space,' 'inhaling dust,' and 'improper use,' reminding the public that fire extinguishers are not toys.
The fire extinguisher used in the scene is a dry powder extinguisher, mainly composed of ammonium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate, which are generally non-toxic. However, the large amount of dust particles sprayed by the dry powder extinguisher can be inhaled into the lungs if directed towards a person, leading to suffocation.
The producer, Jia Shikai, apologized for the fire extinguisher scene, clarifying that it was a privately purchased personal item by the character Song Yan, not the misuse of public firefighting facilities.
