The two have been acquainted since the 1990s and have collaborated extensively on the 'Legend of the Gods' trilogy. Equestrian scenes in Chinese cinema are already rare, and the number of professional equestrian teams suitable for film production is even scarcer. To showcase spectacular equestrian performances in the film, director Wushan specifically organized a professional equestrian team, with Su Rong serving as the equestrian director.
In the intense opening scene of the Battle of Jizhou City, over 200 horses, trained by Su Rong and his colleagues, completed a high-speed run in the icy snow. The scene featured five riders on blindfolded horses leaping over a wall of fire. Through their meticulous planning and training, the scene was successfully executed.
