"Stranger Things" Producer Denies Using AI for "De-Aging" Actors, Emphasizes Vivid Characters

According to Hollywood Watch, Sean Levy, the producer and director of the TV series "Stranger Things," has categorically denied using AI technology to "de-age" young actors in the upcoming season.
Due to a significant gap between the fourth and fifth seasons, the young actors have naturally continued to grow, sparking speculations about whether measures would be taken to diminish their signs of aging. Sean Levy had previously expressed that the production team would do their utmost to make the kids appear less noticeably older. However, in a recent interview with Deadline, he unequivocally stated that AI technology would not be used. He said, "I was somewhat surprised at how widely my simple statement on this matter spread. Our bottom line is that we know where our story is heading, our cast is fantastic, and the characters created by the Duffer Brothers are incredibly vivid. As for bringing these vivid characters to life once again for another season of 'Stranger Things,' I have no concerns."
