Amidst the chilling winds and frozen ground, an aura of impending danger looms. The second prince of the Great Shang Dynasty, Yin Shou (portrayed by Fei Xiang), leads his meticulously trained contingent and the massive Shang army to suppress the rebellion led by Duke Su Hu of Jizhou. Unintentionally, he lifts the seal on a mythical fox within the Xuan Yuan Tomb. This mystical entity possesses the body of Daji (played by Na Ran), the daughter of Su Hu. Yin Shou then brings her back to Chaoge, presenting her as an offering to his father and elder brother. During a night banquet, the elder prince loses control, driven to patricide by unknown forces.

Subsequent events lead to Yin Shou ascending the throne, yet calamities of unnatural origin compel him to make the fateful decision of self-immolation for appeasement. Meanwhile, the immortal Jiang Ziya of Kunlun Mountain (portrayed by Huang Bo) descends with the Scroll of Gods, seeking the destined savior of the realm. While staying in Chaoge, he begins to perceive the tyrannical tendencies of Yin Shou, prompting his swift departure. On another front, Prince Yin Jiao (played by Chen Muchi), who once regarded Yin Shou as a righteous ruler, and the Duke of Xibo, Zhi Zi Ji Fa (played by Yu Shi), uncover the hidden desires of the king and the enigmatic nature of Daji.
