"Creation of the Gods X: Terrifying Sound Effects in Horror Flick"
2023-09-30
In a recent report by Hollywood Watch, the horror film "Creation of the Gods X" caused quite a stir during its editing process due to its spine-chilling sound effects, even prompting nearby neighbors to call the police, claiming that someone was being tortured to death.
The film's director, Kevin Groat, shared with NME that the first assistant editor, Steve Forn, crafted a particularly hair-raising scene in their Los Angeles office, featuring an abundance of screams and horrifying audio effects, notably the "Eyeball Dust Trap."
Then, a series of knocks disrupted the tranquility of the editing room. Surveillance footage revealed the scene: several police officers had arrived, and Forn himself answered the door. They had come under the pretext of a neighbor's distress call. One officer stated, "Your neighbor reported that someone here is being tortured to death." Forn responded, "Actually, I'm just working on a movie. If you'd like, you can come in and take a look." The officers chuckled and replied, "We're interested, but it seems you're okay now." Lastly, one of the officers quipped, "This movie's performance must be remarkably realistic."
