According to professional data from Maoyan, the atmosphere is chilling, and the tension is palpable. The second prince of the Great Shang Kingdom, Yin Shou (played by Fei Xiang), leads his well-trained troops and the Shang army to quell the rebellion led by the Marquis of Jizhou, Su Hu. However, they unintentionally release the seal on a demon fox from the Xuan Yuan Tomb. This demon fox possesses Su Hu's daughter, Daji (played by Naran), and is brought back to the capital city of Chaoge as an offering to the king and the crown prince.
During a fateful night banquet, the crown prince becomes inexplicably possessed and murders his own father with a sword. Following this tragic event, Yin Shou ascends to the throne, but the kingdom is plagued by natural disasters and turmoil, forcing him to make the drastic decision of self-immolation to appease the heavens. Meanwhile, the Kunlun immortal Jiang Ziya (portrayed by Huang Bo) descends from his mountain abode, bringing with him the Chronicles of the Gods, in search of the one destined to become the ruler of all and save the people from their suffering. During his time in Chaoge, he begins to sense the cruelty within Yin Shou and hastily departs.
On the other hand, Yin Shou's younger brother, Prince Yin Jiao (played by Chen Muchi), and the Duke of Zhi Zi Ji Fa (portrayed by Yu Shi) - both of whom once regarded Yin Shou as a just ruler - begin to suspect the king's hidden desires and the enigmatic nature of Daji. Chaoge, shrouded in ominous clouds, is on the brink of a bloody and turbulent upheaval...
