Recently, Tony Leung, after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Venice Film Festival, returned to Hong Kong, China. At the airport, the media asked him about his participation in the music video for the new song "Cool With You" by the South Korean girl group NewJeans.
Tony Leung explained that it was because he happened to know a Korean friend of theirs for many years, who introduced him to them. After understanding the story and music, he proposed three conditions, and if these conditions were met, he would agree to take part. Firstly, he could shoot anywhere; secondly, he didn't want interference with the characters he created; and finally, he could only have a two-hour shooting window. When asked if he was a fan of NewJeans, Tony Leung replied, "It seems like they are my supporters."
