Uncle Punisher Returns to Marvel Universe, The Punisher Joins the Drama "Daredevil: Born Again"

The Hollywood Reporter: Jon Bernthal is returning to play the famous anti-hero The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again.

According to sources, Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Punisher "Uncle Punisher" Frank Castle in Marvel's Daredevil: Rebirth. At the same time, Joe Bernthal posted a picture of the Punisher on his personal instagram, which seems to imply that the return news is true.

The character debuted in the second season of Netflix's Daredevil in 2016, and played the eponymous character in the two seasons of "The Punisher" from 2017-2019. He will officially join the Marvel Universe just like his old friend Daredevil.

After the Marvel universe confirmed its entry into the streaming field, it seems that the previous Netflix version of Marvel heroes will lose their jobs. But in 2021, "Marvel Studios" head Kevin Feige said that these characters can still play a role. At the end of the same year, in "Spider-Man: No Home for Heroes", actor Charlie Cox made a cameo as Daredevil. He also appeared in the episode "She-Hulk" and will also appear in the "Hawkeye" spin-off "Echo" with "Kingpin" actor Vincent D'Onofrio, which is said to be Daredevil: Rebirth lays the groundwork.
