"X-Men: Dark Phoenix" Actress: No Plans to Return to the Role
2024-01-15
According to Comicbook, Alexandra Shipton firmly denies the possibility of reprising the role of Storm.
"You know, it's quite interesting, no, I'm not interested in that. The thing is, one of the aspects I love about my career is that I can play many different roles, and in this regard, I feel like I've accomplished what I needed to do in 'X-Men.' I think there are other women who can take on the role and do it well, and I fully support that. But for me, I just feel like my life is in a different stage."
This isn't the first time Alexandra Shipton has indicated she has no intention of playing Storm again.
In an interview with ComicBookMovie in 2022, Shipton said, "In the future, I'd like to see a woman with a deeper skin tone play Storm. I think it's time for that representation, and I would love to see it. That would be great. The little girl inside me really wants to see that image."
