Hong Kong Miss Champion Zhuang Zixuan Responds to Controversy, Praises Excellent Performance of Contestant #10 Chen Pei-Ji

According to reports from Sina Entertainment, the top three of "2023 Miss Hong Kong" were announced recently, with contestant #15 Zhuang Zixuan winning the championship title.

However, many netizens find it hard to accept the result for contestant #10, believing that she was more visually appealing, even though she didn't make it to the top three. There's also criticism that champion Zhuang Zixuan doesn't fit the traditional image of a winner.

In response, Zhuang Zixuan explained, "I have a more youthful appearance, while the common perception of Miss Hong Kong leans towards maturity. However, this year marks the 51st anniversary of the pageant, which offers a fresh start. It's an opportunity to try out a new image. Perhaps there might be an image transformation by the organization. In fact, I already looked this way during my high school years."

Meanwhile, both on-site and online, there's a significant wave of support for contestant #10, Chen Pei-Ji. Zhuang Zixuan praised her excellent performance and expressed confusion about the outcome.
