1 Rescue operation

The MS Estonia, which was hit by a storm, has sent a distress message. A massive rescue operation is underway in the Baltic Sea and relatives waiting at the terminal want to know what has happened to their loved ones.

2 Passenger List

The Investigation Commission meets for the first time. Relatives want to hear the authorities tell the truth about the deceased and survivors. Commission leaders tell the media that no investigation can begin until the shipwreck is found.

3 Episode 3

On the night of the accident, MS Europa receives a distress call from MS Estonia. A decision is made to divert the ship to help and a long and hard night lies ahead. Although the wreck has now been recovered from the seabed, investigations cannot begin because the ship's visor is still missing.

4 Episode 4

The emergency buoy of the MS Estonia is found off the coast of Estonia. Estonian investigators would like to study the buoy themselves, but they have to hand it over to Finland. Pressure within the Commission is mounting and it is no longer possible to continue the investigation as before.

5 Episode 5

The investigation commission summons the crew member who survived the MS Estonia for a seventh hearing to explain what happened on the bridge when the crew discovered that the ship had suffered an accident. But can the witness's memory be trusted?
