Olsen Aims to Diversify Roles: Only Scarlet Witch Isn't Sustainable

While Elizabeth Olsen takes immense pride in portraying Scarlet Witch in the MCU, she's grown somewhat weary of constantly being labeled as the Scarlet Witch. She seeks balance by challenging herself with other roles.
In an interview with The Times, Olsen candidly discussed how since 2014, she's been associated primarily with Wanda, and she finds that less than ideal.
"I'm exploring ways because, especially over the past four years, my work has all been in the Marvel world. I don't want... it's not that I don't want to continue playing this character, but I really feel like I need to redefine other roles to maintain diversity. I'm very keen on making movies right now, and I hope some of them can appear in ways that feel right to me. Yes, that's what I need. I just need more other roles to appear in my career because one role isn't sustainable."
This isn't the first time Olsen has spoken about her work in the MCU; she has previously acknowledged feeling "frustrated" by missed opportunities due to her Marvel commitments.
