According to "Variety" reports, due to the domestic abuse controversy surrounding the actor of "Conqueror Kang," Jonathan Meyers, Marvel's plans for the next phase may need a reevaluation, including the replacement of the main antagonist.
During a meeting, which included studio head Kevin Feige, executives discussed contingency plans, which may involve turning to another classic antagonist, Doctor Doom, to take center stage.
A top producer revealed, "Marvel has been thrown into disarray due to the turmoil surrounding Kang's character. It wasn't until the recent strike events that they had the opportunity to reexamine the script, but I don't see a clear path for Kang to continue with Marvel in the future."
