James Gunn confirms to direct 2025 'Superman' movie

James Gunn issued an article today, personally confirming that he will direct the movie "Superman: Legacy", which will be released on July 11, 2025.
"My brother Matt cried when he saw the release date, and I asked him why, and he said, 'Hey, it's Dad's birthday.' I didn't realize it."
The plot details of "Superman: Legacy" are still shrouded in fog, but Henry Cavill has confirmed that he will no longer star.
This work is described as "This is the real beginning of the DC universe. ... Not an origin story, it will focus on Superman balancing his Kryptonian origin and human growth. He is the representative of truth, justice, and the American way. In an old-school world, he's the embodiment of kindness."
