Alex Sharp mentioned that he is not a typical science fiction fan but enjoys works like "Arrival." He believes that the exciting aspects of sci-fi lie in its thrilling and action-packed elements. He expressed his amazement at the ambitious team working on the adaptation of these novels.

Since the novels were mentioned, the interviewer asked if they had read the original work or if this was their first exposure to "The Three-Body Problem."

Sharp replied, "I've heard of it, but I haven't read it."

John Bradley, another lead actor, added, "Likewise, I've heard of 'The Three-Body Problem.' I've heard that it's an adult-oriented sci-fi work rooted in profound scientific theories, but I haven't read the original. I believe directors David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo are extremely skilled at adapting complex sci-fi works into accessible and distinctive content. If you're a fan of the novel, you'll also love this series."
