Netflix's Version of "The Three-Body Problem" Actors Claim They Haven't Read the Original: Just Heard About It

According to the Collider, Alex Sharp and John Bradley, the main actors of Netflix's version of "The Three-Body Problem," recently discussed the series in an interview.

Alex Sharp mentioned that he is not a typical science fiction fan but enjoys works like "Arrival." He believes that the exciting aspects of sci-fi lie in its thrilling and action-packed elements. He expressed his amazement at the ambitious team working on the adaptation of these novels.

Since the novels were mentioned, the interviewer asked if they had read the original work or if this was their first exposure to "The Three-Body Problem."

Sharp replied, "I've heard of it, but I haven't read it."

John Bradley, another lead actor, added, "Likewise, I've heard of 'The Three-Body Problem.' I've heard that it's an adult-oriented sci-fi work rooted in profound scientific theories, but I haven't read the original. I believe directors David Benioff, D.B. Netflix's version of "The Three-Body Problem" is based on Liu Cixin's sci-fi novel. It is being developed by David Benioff, D.B. The first episode will be directed by Derek Tsang, known for "Better Days." The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.
