Hannibal Actor Expresses Displeasure with Marvel: Acting Is Meaningless

According to foreign media reports, Anthony Hopkins, known for his role as Odin in the Marvel film series, expressed that his performance in Marvel was 'meaningless' in a recent interview.
'They had me wear armor, attach a beard, sit in a chair, and then yell and shout,' said Anthony Hopkins. 'And I had to sit in front of a green screen. It was truly meaningless.'
In 2021, Anthony Hopkins made history as the oldest recipient of the Best Actor Oscar, winning it for his portrayal of a dementia patient in 'Father.' He also won his first Oscar in 1992 for his role as Hannibal Lecter in 'The Silence of the Lambs.'
Returning to the Marvel series, Chris Hemsworth, who co-stars with Anthony Hopkins in the 'Thor' series, also stated previously that he enjoys the experience of filming 'Thor' movies but gets tired of the role every few years.
