2023-04-09
During the recent Star Wars 2023 Celebration, Lucasfilm announced three Star Wars film projects. Possibly the biggest surprise of all was the confirmation that Rey will be returning for an upcoming film.
However, according to thegamer, there has been a voice among the fanbase that they want John Boyega back as Finn.
@TheFirstOkiro said: "John Boyega has always loved Star Wars, he deserves better and more. If he really wants to come back one day, all the important people will support Jedi Finn."
@the3rdjp said: "It's really cool, but I really hope they give John Boyega the story he deserves, if he doesn't want to come back, then I understand 100%, but they should at least give it a try. Boyega got so dirty."
The sequel trilogy of "Star Wars" is still very divided among the fan base. The downgraded prominence in the film, and Boyega himself has publicly expressed his displeasure at the matter, saying his character was "pushed to the side."
Fans have not forgotten how John Boyega and how Finn was sidelined, they have been calling for Boyega to return in the new movie, and even hope to see Finn as a Jedi in the new movie.
While Lucasfilm and Disney may still be hiding some surprises when it comes to new movies, fans have already made their voices heard about the actor's unhappiness with his former employer.
