Zack Snyder Acknowledges Superhero Aesthetic Fatigue as a Genuine Issue, Personally Affected
2023-12-28
Amidst discussions online regarding the existence of superhero movie aesthetic fatigue, Zack Snyder has shared his perspective on the matter.
The director of "Rebellion of the Moon" acknowledges that superhero film fatigue is not only a real issue but something he personally grapples with.
In a recent article by The Atlantic, Snyder expressed that superhero stories today can no longer be told through a "one-off" narrative.
“I share the same fatigue; comic book movies have become a 'dead end,' unable to tell self-contained stories. No one thinks they would watch a one-off superhero movie anymore.”
Interestingly, Zack Snyder's latest film, "Rebellion of the Moon: Son of Fire," is a story divided into at least two parts. Additionally, Snyder hopes to extend this narrative into the realm of video games.
